Lee Coombs dropped a couple of sets during Lot49's visit to SXSW this year. Here we have a recording of one of those sets for our readers' enjoyment. Other recordings (and some video) are sure to follow now that the hangover's bout done.
This release follows up from the awesome single “Detox” taken from Lee’s highly acclaimed 2009 album “Light & Dark”. Here Florida-based Lee Coombs and Lot49 deliver an exclusive album extra entitled “Punji” and in true Lot49 style there are a few very tasty remixes to boot.
Awww yeah...continuing Opel's 8-Year Anniversary live mix series from Club Mighty, TFM has the pleasure of offering Dylan Rhymes' set from the blowout. Photo of Lot49's resident madman courtesy of Jeff Hubis. Thanks to Zach Moore for passin the link along. Two ways to get the mix:

Disconnected Audio is a new Sydney based label run by Dopamine, a well established producer who has dabbled with many genres but has now finally come back to his techno roots.
Wow. Well, the Loops of Fury are clearly MASSIVE favourites around these parts, and with their brand new remix for the Plump DJs new label, GRAND HOTEL, they have smashed it clean out of the ballpark with this remix. The track is available through Beatport on Monday
Nothing represents an artists' passion and intent nearly as well as a live mix. TFM friendly Zach Moore has kindly passed along a live recording of Meat Katie's set from Opel Productions' 8-year anniversary party at Club Mighty in SF (on Feb 27th). There are two options for downloading the set:
Also, photographer Jeff Hubis took some great shots of Mark that evening. Below are a couple that were too good not to include. More about Jeff at: http://photodlux.zenfolio.com/.
Sometimes being a DJ is such a damned privilege. That was most definitely the way I felt in Prague this Saturday night just gone. I'd heard things from friends of mine about the Cross Club, but I wasn't really prepared for the sheer scale of invention that this club boasts from basement to top floor.
If anything, it reminded me of Burning Man in microcosm ... an incredible array of futuristic metalwork and all manner of recycled materials adorn every space, and many of them are motorized and individually backlit. There are neon-strip fans rotated from the ceiling and the main room felt like the inside of a giant, sinister watch. There are beautiful hanging lights made from inverted lemon squeezers, a dungeon of a basement, old diner chairs wrapped around twisted metal tables, rotating hubcap stools and a mezzanine like some arch-industrial Alice in Wonderland.
At the very top there is a huge, expansive chillout zone where the medium changes completely, and suddenly everything is made from wood - soft lighting, mellow music, airy, spacious ... it's like entering a temple through the backdoor or a club. If you're ever in Prague and get a chance, check it out ... well worth a trip!
The track featured is 'The Law of Life' from the 'Revamped' album from Elite Force which is OUT THIS WEEK.
With around 6,000 listens already clocked up on Soundcloud, and props from many of the biggest names within what Soul of Man so eloquently call 'The non-compliant beats scene', the Elite Force re-fix of Benga's '26 Basslines' has been hugely sought after (to say the least). On the day that his 'Revamped' album is finally released, the Benga mix has also been set-free as a FREE DOWNLOAD, adding to the three, previously available 'Prevamped' tracks (Deadmau5, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TC & Caspa).
"Thanks to Elite Force, we have entered a whole new paradigm in mashupology ... he has created a collection of numbers that sound like original compositions, such are the intricacies of his tailoring." [iDJ Magazine] "From dubstep to tech-funk, this electrifying bunch of ace mash-ups mixed into a coherent, genre-traversing blend is a must-have" [DJ Magazine (album reviews)] "This is one of the single most important, captivating and crucial mixes / album of the new decade" [InTheMix Magazine] "Hands down the most powerful release at the turn of the new year." [Knowledge Magazine] "The originator of the anti-genre DJ-style 'tech-funk' takes the realms of cross-genre production to another effortless high with Re:Vamped. In a nutshell, this kicks. 5/5" [Mixmag Reviews]

Manifesto fave and all-round wunderkid, Rektchordz has been a busy boy! Aside from penning a MASSIVE new single for U&A Recordings which is due out in the first week of April, he also launches a brand new WEBSITE today. The site is the latest in a series to roll out from artists on the label, and as with previous site launches it comes with a preview player where you can hear the new single in all it's glory, and also a huge remix he's done of Calvin Harris' summer anthem-in-waiting 'Stars Come Out'.
This shit is absolutely amazing. We've posted up on the Manifesto before about the amazing talent that is Beardyman, but this collaboration with Neurosonics with JFB on the wheels of steel and Will Clarke on drums is definitely some next level shizzle ....
The General (as he likes to be known around these parts) is BACK once again, and this time he brings Powerchords. Tai's 'Powerchords' that is ... for those who don't know that much about Tai (where the f*ck have you been) he's recently remixed the likes of Sharam Jay, Tomcraft, DJ Godfather and Coburn and has collaborated with the likes of Tim Healey, and most notably D.I.M. with who he produced the marvellous 'Lyposuct' on BoysNoize records last year (and in doing so provided them with about the only thing worth listening to for a good 18 months!).
Now signed to Coco Machete with this new single, 'Powerchords', the Manifesto is delighted to have the first airing of the HUGE Zodiac Cartel remix, dropping soon.
Paul Baxter has been DJ'ing for a few years now, as a solo artist and as one half of Twisted Sounds, racking up a slew of regular gigs in London/Brighton and notable opening sets for Hybrid and Sister Bliss at Ministry Of Sound along the way. In his own words, Paul says about his TechFunk leanings "...it has always been about finding the best music from different genres and taking the opportunity when DJ'ing to educate and entertain!!" and that's something we here at TFM can appreciate. This latest mix has already received a fair bit of attention, including being featured on Carol Campos' Tech:Funk Show at fnoob.com and even taking over the airwaves as the Midnight Mix on KissFM. And here it is now for your enjoyment.
